Dear Journal,
You would
think I was in one of those unlikely comedies I have to review for the paper. I
took my lovely betrothed, Elaine, to meet Aunt Abby and Aunt Martha, who are
known throughout Brooklyn for their many acts of kindness and charity. I was
only worried that my brother Teddy (who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt) would be on
his best behavior and not go around blowing that darned bugle of his. Imagine
my dismay when I learn that my beloved aunts are serving homemade wine to
lonely old men -- and sometimes they are lacing it with arsenic and having Teddy
bury them (as yellow fever victims) in the basement!! They think they are doing
these poor fellows a favor. What, oh what am I to do?!? All I need now is for
my homicidal maniac brother, Jonathan, to break out of prison and show up on the
doorstep…
Tickets: $18 adults, $16
