brings A.R. Gurney’s extraordinarily successful play to The Kelsey Theatre.
Simply conceived, beautifully constructed, and intoxicating as Pink Champagne,
this touching story is both witty and bittersweet as it follows the “near
misses” of a relationship through a lifetime of letters. From summer camps and
boarding schools, through college, war, career and romance, we watch the journey
between free-spirited but unstable artist Melissa Gardner (played by Kelsey’s M.
Kitty Getlik) and dutiful lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (played by Walter
Smyth.)
