The Pennington Players
have “Magic to Do” as they present this Tony-Award-winning musical,
the lively coming of age story of King Charlemagne’s oldest son, featuring music
by Stephen Schwartz, the composer of
Wicked
and
Godspell. Although supported by his wise and feisty grandmother,
Berthe, Pippin falls under the malicious influence of the” Leading Player”. He
is pushed headlong through adventures of war, sex, politics and love trying to
find his “Corner of the Sky”. As he draws towards the perfect, theatrical end
of his story, Pippin begins to discover what it truly means to be extraordinary
in our world.
